Gary

I teach a writing class inside of a facility where Gary is being held and had the pleasure of meeting him. I became interested in his case after a few conversations I had with him where he shared photos of his children & grandchildren as well as some letters he had received from them. I felt compelled to join this forum to simply state that Gary does not belong in prison. I am a firm believer that he was wrongfully accused and this is, as an earlier comment stated, a conviction of convenience. To admit that there was cross-contamination would open up so many questions and cases of wrongful conviction that using DNA evidence would become laughable and wouldn't hold up in court any more than a lie detector test does. I do not know what steps have been taken or what things are in the works. All I know is that our justice system is broken. What a disgrace to Gary, his family, and the victim's family. True justice has not been served here.
